another 180
I hit a few 9 counts of late... since my last blog post I hit the following big darts...
Nine Counts: 15's, 16's, 17's, 20's
Playing bob's 29.. finished it with 16 points left... and somewhere in there hit all 3 in a double... I think it was 3 double 11's or 3 double 9's I forget now...
Last night I threw 100 at the 20's and finished with 81 with 13 triples... and the 9 count... I am not happy about the 81... I think I only hit all 3 in the 20's on 2 turns and one of them was the 9 count...
The math here points out how ugly of a round of 100 at the 20's it really was
13 trips = 39 scored
81-39 = 42 points scored on singles
100 total darts - 13 (trips) = 87 attempts... which means 42 hits... and 45 misses!
Overall that is 42+13 = 55/100 darts... which is pretty cruddy... lets say I hat 2/3 or 66 that would have been 11 more darts... and a respectable 92...
I am somehow getting more accurate but in doing so I have more variance left to right... I must have hit 10 that were wire on the trip 5 or trip1...
I am getting much better! I am playing a similiar level as I was last year at this time BUT I am also playing at a much higher level at times that I ever could a year ago... Just take the number of nine counts I have hit in the last couple months...
There are some parts of my game which are not as good... like I am having some trouble hitting bulls... but my stroke is so much smoother... I no longer am struggling on certain parts of the board... I am now equally as good all over the board... I am throwing the dart straighter than I was a year ago and therefore I have the potential to throw tigher sets... hence the increased number of 9 counts.. almost all of them are 3 darts touching each other, and usually with 2 darts stacked on each other... ... I'll post a pick of my lastest 180 as soon as I get it off the wife's digital camera!
Tonight is play offs at dart league... we made it past round 1... now we play semi and finals or for 3rd as the case may be... I am ready I hope the rest of my team is!!!
